Goldenbell School

We are linked with the Goldenbell School in Uganda.

Their website can be found at http://goldenbell.awardspace.com/index.html.

Please give them a visit, they are very proud to be online.

One of our teachers spent a week at the school. Here she shares her experiences.

Uganda is quite a small country in Eastern Africa (10 hours flying time from England) surrounded by other countries like Kenya and The Sudan.

Goldenbell school is a twenty-minute drive from Kampala, in a bustling market town called Kireka.

There are five classes at Golden Bell School with children aged from 3 years to 7 plus.
Most of the classes had two teachers and had between 48 (maximum) and 28 (minimum) children.

In January 2005 the headteacher, Moses Serwanga, visited our school for a week.

This partnership is a real opportunity to develop our children's awareness of the world beyond England, to develop their understanding and knowledge of a different country and an opportunity to foster friendship between children who have the same basic needs in life.
