Who is on the PSA?

All parents are members of the PSA and are welcome to attend meetings and help at events. However, we have some key people who take charge of organising events, managing the money and keeping parents informed:

Chair Person - Mrs Rosalind Watson

Vice Chair Person - Ms Amina Baksh

Secretary - Mrs Alison Mitchelmore (parent in Maple)

Treasurer - Mrs Jane Rose (parent in Willow and Nursery)

What do we spend the money on?

All children benefit from the money raised by the PSA. Recent purchases have been:

Netbooks for classrooms - the PSA donated money to help each key stage one class acquire 6 netbooks

New kitchen - the PSA paid for the old kitchen to be renovated and is now a useable space for classes to use for cooking

Library books and a new carpet for the library

We donate £500 to each year group to help keep school trips at a reasonable cost

*** 100 Club ***

This half term we are launching our 100 Club! For £1 a month, you can buy a number for our 100 Club draw. Each month, half the money goes to the school and the other half is split into 2 prizes. If your number is drawn, you win! We are trialling this new venture for an initial period of six months. Numbers must be paid for in advance, for the whole six months.

Nestle Box Tops - we are collecting box tops from Nestle cereal packs to get more books for the school library. Please bring in your tokens and pop them into the collection box in reception. Click here for the Nestle for Education website.

Easy2name - supply name tapes, stick on labels, shoe labels etc. The school receives 20% commission. Orders can be placed at www.easy2name.com. Please type "West Ewell School KT19" in the space "Name of Fundraising Group" when you are completing the order.
