This week Reception have been planting up their new flower bed with some Autumn pansies. The children handled the plants carefully, understood how to dig a little hole for the roots to go into and planted delicately. pic.twitter.com/AWyE1qpxbf— West Ewell Primary School (@west_ewell) November 23, 2023

For anti-bullying week, Year 6 could choose how they wanted to 'make a noise'. Some pupils chose to role play scenarios, some pupils used claves and shakers to compose and perform a poem and rap about anti-bullying and some pupils design their own comic strips. pic.twitter.com/eSVCzd8mWJ— West Ewell Primary School (@west_ewell) November 17, 2023

Year 5 took their science learning outside today. We learned about how far away from the Sun the different planets are (millions of kilometres!) and used scaled measurements to help support our understanding of the solar system. pic.twitter.com/RcvExQROdf— West Ewell Primary School (@west_ewell) November 15, 2023

Y4 held a debate about whether the railways should be built in our fictional Victorian town. Children considered the views of different people in the town and earlier in the week, we used Chat GPT to 'interview' them in order to explore their views in preparation for our debate. pic.twitter.com/HRSeU8NmRQ— West Ewell Primary School (@west_ewell) November 13, 2023

Yesterday students from Year 4 and Year 6 had the fantastic opportunity to attend the opening of the Garden of Remembrance.
